Pet Safe Organic Fertilizer

NATURAL ORGANIC, PET SAFE LAWN FERTILIZER -

EcoChem is an eco friendly, technology based company engaged in the production of natural organic fertilizers for lawn and garden applications.

EcoChem natural organic fertilizers are produced using constituents derived from naturally occurring and sustainable sources. Our pet safe lawn fertilizers are highly efficient, have no adverse affect on the environment and are not harmful to animals, plants and humans. In addition, they can be manufactured, transported, applied and disposed of safely. With innovations based on science, EcoChem is helping to put the principles of sustainable  lawn care into practice.

Typically, Lawns fertilized with natural organic fertilizer recover relatively quick from moderate levels of pest damage without the need for synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. When a disease or insect problem is suspected, consider the potential health risks associated with synthetic chemicals before applying them. SEE HEALTH RISKS

To improve root mass and promote healthy grass and turf growth use a low nitrogen, High Nutrient Natural Organic Fertilizer.

Apply natural organic fertilizers in early spring and again in late autumn. Typically, this will provide an even supply of nutrients during the growing season, and reduce winter kill.

Avoid the use of quick release nitrogen fertilizers. Quick release nitrogen can increase moisture requirements and decrease stress tolerance.

Grass clippings, left on the lawn, can be a source of nutrients.  As grass clippings decompose, they can provide the equivalent of one application of fertilizer per season.

Typically, a lawn that is in good condition requires about 1 inch of water / week.  In cooler environments 0.5 inches / week might be sufficient.

Research has shown foliar applied natural organic fertilizers provide a quicker response and are more effective than soil applied fertilizers.

Nitrogen is vital for plant growth. It is abundant in the atmosphere and in soil organic matter, but not in a form that plants can use. Conventional methods of providing nitrogen to plants include (1) adding nitrogen fertilizers to the soil, or (2) inoculating (coating) seed  with nitrogen fixing bacteria. Nitrogen fixing bacteria convert atmospheric nitrogen to an inorganic form that is useable by plants.  In addition, they provide residual nitrogen, in the soil, which can reduce or eliminate nitrogen fertilizer requirements for the next growing season.

To promote rapid spring growth, apply natural organic fertilizer in "early" spring.

Natural organic lawn fertilizer promotes both root and top growth.

When  reseeding, apply two to three pounds of grass seed / 1,000 square feet.

NOTE

•  Nitrogen: promotes vegetative growth, green colour.

•  Phosphorus: Promotes seedling growth and flowering.

•  Potassium: Promotes root growth and hardiness and improves stress tolerance.

•  Iron: Promotes green growth, root growth and reduces winter kill.

Dolomitic Lime: Used to adjusts soil pH and increase cation exchange capacity..
