Lawn Thatch Control | Lawn & Turf Fungus Control
WHEN PETS MUNCH ON CHEMICALLY
TREATED LAWN GRASS THEIR HEALTH IS AT RISK |
Synthetic
lawn chemicals do not provide essential nutrients necessary
for healthy lawn and turf grass growth. In fact, lawn chemical, including
chemical fertilizers, can kill soil biomass, deplete the
soil and, as a result, inhibit healthy grass growth.
Conversely, organic fertilizers stimulate soil biomass and
promote healthy root and grass growth. In addition, organic
fertilizers Improve soil porosity, drainage and aeration,
reduce compaction and improve the water holding capacity of
the soil thereby helping grass resist drought. One estimate
indicates that a 5% increase in organic matter quadruples
the soils ability to hold and store water.
Controlling weeds is all about soil building.
Chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides do nothing
to build or improve soil structure. Hard, tight soils with
low calcium and/or sulfur, low organic matter and low active
biomass (microorganisms) promote weed growth. Loose, healthy
soil aids in controlling weeds.
HEALTHY SOIL
Healthy soil
is a combination of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi
and protozoa, minerals, rock, water, air, organic matter
(plant and animal residue), and a variety of insects and
worms that carry out a process that continually replenishes
the soil and maintains long term soil fertility.
Soil
building involves a soil balance approach. Start balancing
the soil by using organic fertilizers that contain the
constituents necessary for soil building. When soil structure improves, soil
health will improve, plant health will improve, weed and
pest infestations will decrease and the requirement for
herbicides and pesticides will be significantly decrease or
eliminated.
GUIDELINES FOR GROWING A HEALTHY, PEST RESISTANT, WEED FREE
LAWN
Use a
high quality organic fertilizer two to three times per
season.
Avoid cutting
more than one third of the
grass blade in any one
mowing.
Use a high
quality thatch degrader at least once per season.
Leave law
clipping on the lawn - they can provide nutrients to the
soil.
Provide the
lawn with at least 1 inch of water / week.
Apply
water in early morning before midday.
Twice a year, the
first cut in the spring and
the last cut in the fall,
cut to a height of 2 inches.
The spring cut is intended
to remove winter fungus and
the fall cut is intended to
prevent or limit the
establishment of fungus
during the winter.
Typically, tall grass is
more stress tolerant, has a
larger root structure, which
increases uptake of water
and nutrients and provide
shade which limits or
prevents weed growth.
WHAT IS CBLC
CBLC is a
super concentrated, premium quality organic fertilizer for seasonal lawn and
turf grass care. CBLC is formulated with complex
carbohydrates, macro and micro nutrients, amino acids,
enzymes, proteins, vitamins and minerals. It also contains a
variety of natural substances for soil and plant
improvement. CBLC is 100% dispersible in water and can be
soil or foliar applied throughout the season without causing
leaf burn.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Physical state: Liquid
Odor and appearance: Dark brown
Specific gravity (20 deg. C): 7.6
pH: 6.23
Evaporation rate (Water = 1): 10
% Volatile by volume: 7.1

CBLC can
provide quick results along with sustained color. Typically, two applications
per season will maintain most lawns at above average
condition. If you desire a very high quality lawn, 3 to 4
applications of CBLC may be required. Typically, lawns that
are conditioned with CBLC are thicker, greener, more pest
resistant and require
less watering than chemically treated lawns.
BENEFITS
Environmentally safe and not harmful to animals, plants &
humans.
Improved root development and uniform growth.
Promotes early vigor and improved plant health.
Promotes residual color and density with
slow even growth in a wide range of soil types and pH.

Aids in rooting, improves stress tolerance and disease management.
Suppresses weed growth.
Accelerated maturity.
Contains macro and micronutrients to buffer salts and
improve soil nutrient holding capacity.
Provides a balanced carbon to nitrogen ratio for
continuous nutrient availability and replacement of organic
matter.
Aids in preventing disease associated with numerous fungi.
Ideal for use around sensitive environmental areas i.e.
wetlands, streams and lakes.
Enhances the wear and stress tolerance of turf.
Improves tolerance to winter and summer stress conditions.
Provides protection against pathogens that attack
germinating seeds and emerging seedlings.
Ideal for use on new turf or during
renovation and over seeding.
Easy to use and simple to clean up with water.
SEASONAL
LAWN MAINTENANCE
Generally, by late July, chemically treated lawns have
depleted their nutrient reserves and, as a result, begin to
develop brown in patches. This can be avoided by using CBLC. In the fall
when your lawn is going dormant it requires nutrients to
survive the winter. Generally, a proper fall conditioning with
CBLC will ensure a green lawn in early spring.

MIXING:
CBLC is highly concentrated and must be diluted in water.
First determine the approximate
volume of water you expect to apply per 1000 square feet.
Then, mix the solution based on that volume.
Example:
A lawn in good condition requires 6 to 10 oz. CBLC per
1000 sq. ft.
Therefore, if you intend to apply 5 gallons water per
1000 sq. ft., you would mix 6 to 10 oz. CBLC per 5
gallons water.
NOTE: Over application can be a benefit - CBLC does
not burn grass, flowers, trees etc.
TYPICAL
APPLICATION INTERVAL
1.
Apply at initial growth stage - Repeat mid summer or as
required.
2. Apply after periods of drought.
3. Apply at end of season to increase resistance to winter
kill and limit fungal growth.
APPLICATION
NOTE
Increasing
application rate and frequency can provide additional
benefits. Avoid pesticide applications within 48 hours of
applying product. Best applied in the early morning, evening
or on a cloudy day.
APPLICATION METHODS
Apply with a conventional
sprayer, hand sprayer, back pack sprayer, garden hose sprayer
or through the irrigation system.
NOTE:
Application rates and intervals may vary with
environmental conditions, type of soil and grass and results
required.
SAFETY
CBLC is
produced in accordance with NOSB (National Organic Standards
Board) guidelines. The materials used in the production
process are derived from naturally occurring and sustainable
sources and are consistent with organic principals and the
National List of Allowed Substances. CBLC does NOT contain
synthetic chemicals, animal components, animal byproducts,

Subject: CBLC AND FVR
Just wanted to let you know that I think your products are fantastic...I
cant believe how healthy all my plants are. I had a dogwood tree that was
pale green and all the leaves were brown on the ends and it just would not
grow. I put your product on it and now the leaves are dark green and shiny
and it has about 5" of new growth on it already.
Also, I almost took out a rose bush this spring that was really hurting
for several years and especially after this past winter it was almost
dead......I put the FVR on it and it came back fast...it now has a ton of
new growth and blooms.
I had some sick looking house plants as well that I had for years and now
after putting the FVR on them they are all thriving.
Do you have any natural products for lawn pests...such as sod webworms?
They attack my lawn every June and July. If so please let me know.
I told my neighbors about your products and now they are going to try them
as well.
Thanks
John

Judy
... you know how long I have been using your
product. well I ran out this year and did not put
your product on the greens. Now with the draught we
have no rain we lost a lot of green area from heat
stress and I think a lack of nutrients. I am
convinced that this product is very good. please
send 2 x 5 gallon pails to this address.

Subject: EcoChem Product Order CBLC
Thanks very much for your
quick answer.
Here’s our experience with EcoChem’s CBLC:
In the Fall of 2002 we had fescue turf
installed in our front yard in San Diego, California, and
had a large, secondary yard hydro seeded. Whether it was due
to the quality of the seed, the density, weather or other
factors, the hydro seeded area was not taking root.
Because that area was adjacent to the lush turf it looked
even worse. We have Labrador retrievers who “graze”
on our grass, so we don’t use chemical growth stimulants
or fertilizers on anything. After extensive Internet
searches for animal-safe, environmentally friendly options,
we discovered EcoChem’s CBLC Lawn & Turf Conditioner.
As a test, we applied it as directed to a 100 square foot
patch of unproductive seeded area that adjoined the very
healthy turf. In just a few days the test area grew
beautiful fescue. Within 2-3 weeks, you couldn’t see any
difference between the formerly barren hydro seeded test
area and the adjacent, well established, fescue turf. Since
that time, we have used CBLC seasonally, for our residence
as well as our rental properties, and we swear by it. We get
year ‘round compliments on our green and healthy lawns.
Ben and Paula ........., San Diego, California,
Many thanks for all your help, Judy....
