The long term
disbenefits associated with herbicide use, e.g. soil
depletion, environmental damage and health consequences are
such that, it is in everyone's best interest to implement
sustainable AG and lawn care programs that minimize or
eliminate herbicide use.
When a systemic
herbicide is applied to a weed, it must penetrate the leaf
surface and move through the plants vascular system to the
site of action within the plant. Several barriers exist
within plants that hinder absorption, including the cuticle,
cell wall and cellular membrane. When used as directed,
herbicide additives can accelerate the rate at which the
herbicide moves through these barriers. Herbicide additives
can (1) reduce the surface tension of the carrier solution
(2) improve retention and coverage of spray droplets on the
leaf surface (3) increase herbicide absorbed rate (4) reduce
the potential for herbicide induced plant stress and (5)
reduce the need for over application of herbicides.
When herbicide
additives are incorporated in a spray mix, it is seldom
necessary to thoroughly drench an area with herbicide to
achieve satisfactory weed control. Applying just enough
herbicide to wet the foliage, without causing runoff, will
provide effective weed control. Effective weed control
involves the application of herbicides when weeds are
visible and actively growing. Heavily weeded lawns may
require repeated herbicide applications in the first year,
but, once control is achieved, application can be reduced to
one annual spot treatment. A spot treatment involves
applying herbicide to the weeds, instead of the entire lawn.

WHAT
IS CB-707 HERBICIDE ADDITIVE?
CB-707 is
an organic, multi-purpose herbicide additive and
compatibility agent formulated
with a
complex blend of wetting agents, macro and micro nutrients,
and plant growth stimulants that
augment
the efficiency of synthetic herbicides,
promote healthy plant growth, reduce plant stress
resulting from herbicide intake and enable applicators to
reduce herbicide application rates up to 50 percent. A
mixture of CB-707 and herbicide is more efficacious than the
herbicide alone.

additive is produced in accordance with NOSB (National
Organic Standards Board) guidelines. The materials used in
the production process are derived from naturally occurring
and sustainable sources and are consistent with organic
principals and the National List of Allowed Substances.
CB-707 does NOT contain synthetic chemicals, animal
components, animal byproducts, manure or manure byproducts.
CB-707 is environmentally safe, and is not harmful to
animals, plants and humans.
