Controls odor, reduces sludge and reduces FOG in fruit, vegetable and wine waste lagoons & WWTP's

EC-560 is an all natural product formulated for use in treating fruit, vegetable and wine wastes. EC-560 reacts with the waste to produce enhancers that maximize biological activity within the waste treatment environment. It is a non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable and 100% biodegradable and is not harmful to humans, animals, plants and aquatic life.

The cost associated with Conventional methods of sludge reduction in lagoons and wastewater treatment facilities, i.e. draining of lagoons and mechanically removing the solids using heavy equipment or dredging the lagoons using a portable dredges, can be significantly reduced by using EC-560. When used as directed, EC-560 can be to reduce sludge volume, reduce TSS, reduce total volatile solids, reduce BOD, eliminate odors and reduce or eliminate fat, oil and grease.

BENEFITS
Improves effluent quality.
Reduces grease buildup.
Increases overall efficiency.
Controls filaments.
Reduces odors and foam.
Enhances organic removal.
Aids in lowering BOD, COD, and TSS.
Enhances solids settling.
Accelerates the start-up of new systems.
Aids in recovery after upsets.
Improves cold weather operation.
Mitigates the affects associated with loading and toxic shock.
Reduces sludge production.
Lowers operating costs by reducing chemical consumption.

TYPICAL APPLICATION RATES

FLOW RATE INITIAL APPLICATION MAINTENANCE**
Up to 1,000 gpd ½ lb. / day for 3 days ½ lb. / week
Up to 5,000 gpd ½ lb. / day for 3 days 1lb. / week
Up to 20,000 gpd 5 lbs.* 1½ lb. / week
Up to 50,000 gpd 8 lbs.* 2 lb. / week
Up to 250,000 gpd 5 lbs.* ¼ lb. / day
Up to 500,000 gpd 25 lbs.* ½ lb. / day
Up to 1 mgd 50 lbs.* 1 lb. / day
Up to 5 mgd 50 lbs. per mgd* 1 lb. / mgd / day
Up to 12 mgd 50 lbs. per mgd* ¾ lb. / mgd / day
Up to 100 mgd 30 lbs. per mgd* ½ lb. / mgd / day

* Spread this initial dosage out over the course of 10 days.
** Add as regularly as possible. If it is required to miss one day, add that day’s product with the next dosage.
Dosage rate will vary with flow rates, retention times and system variations. The rates above are for a typical, well maintained system.

ACTIVATED SLUDGE SYSTEMS
For extended aeration, contact stabilization, step aeration, oxygen activated sludge, etc., application rates are based on the average daily flow rate to the aeration basin, excluding the return sludge stream.

TRICKLING FILTER & ROTATING BIOLOGICAL CONTACTORS
Application rates are based on the average daily flow rate to the filter or contactor, excluding any re-circulating process stream.

LAGOON SYSTEMS
For aerated lagoon systems, application rates are based on the average inflow rates.

For facultive lagoon systems, application rates are based on the lagoon surface area:

 Days 1 through 3 20 lbs./acre
 Day 4+ 2 lbs./acre

For anaerobic lagoons, application rates are based on lagoon volume.

 <100,000 gal. 1 lb. - 2x / week / 5,000 gal.
 >100,000 gallons ½ lb. - 1x / day / 5,000 gal.

NOTE: For lagoons in cold climates, commence program when the water temperature is a least 50F

SAFETY
The materials used in the production of EC-560 are derived from naturally occurring and sustainable sources. EC-560 is environmentally friendly, biodegradable and is not harmful to animals, plants and humans.

A Green World can only achieved by all of us working together!

The Green World Campaign works to reforest our planet, raise the living standards of the rural poor, and combat global climate change.

The Earth is losing its trees. Ethiopia, for example, is down to 3% forest cover. After trees are cut down, the land loses its fertility. Hunger and conflict grow. Biodiversity dwindles, and water supplies dry up. The deserts creep forward, hastening climate change. But there is something we can do.

Plant trees. Lots of trees. Trees heal barren soil and increase food crops, helping people become self-sufficient. They remove CO2 from the air, and restore the environment for generations to come.

Help people plant their future--and ours. We plant trees to restore the ecology and economy of some of the world's poorest places. We help communities develop sustainable livelihoods,  return barren soil to fertility,  nurture biodiversity, and preserve cultural values. Will you help?
