Fat, Oil & Grease Control in
Waste Water Treatment, Lagoons, Septic Systems & More.
|
When fat, oil and grease (FOG)
is released into sewer lines, in any amount, it can stick to
the sides of sewer pipes and, over time, limit the pipe's
capacity to move waste water. In addition, FOG can pose a
serious threat to sanitary sewer collection systems. FOG
buildup can result in the need for expensive sewer
line cleaning and equipment replacement due to grease
related damages.
As sewer pipes back up, the
waste water, containing sewage, food particles, fat, oil,
grease, etc. can attract insects and other vermin, cause
unpleasant odors, and create health hazards. Property damage
can also result from sewage backups and lead to expensive
cleanup and plumbing repairs.
Clogged sewers can lead to
overflows. As sewage overflows onto streets and enters storm
drain systems it is carried to local creeks and beaches,
creating health risks for swimmers, aquatic life, plant life and
the environment.
EC-220 Bio-Cube is a FOG degrader formulated and packaged for use in treating waste water
containing high levels of fat, oil and grease. EC-220 Bio-Cube
contains speciality enzymes, micronutrients, and bio-stimulants that loosen, liquefy
and degrade heavy grease deposits. It
is also effective in degrading
extra cellular polymers, (which cause foaming), and suppressing
the growth of the filamentous organisms by affecting the
structure of the filaments.
EC-220 Bio-Cube
is packaged in a slow release form to optimize performance in lift
stations.

APPLICATION
Add EC-220B Bio-Cube
directly to the lift station.
1.
When locating the Bio-Cube in the wet well I lift
station,
avoid
placing it directly into the flow of incoming sewage.
The turbulence and "washing effect" will greatly
reduce the longevity of this product. Ideally, the it should
be placed in a less turbulent area of the wet well I lift
station, but NOT in a dead spot.
2.
Bio-Cube should be suspended in the wet well I lift
station so that
it is always submerged in water, even at the lowest water
level.
3.
If a grease shelf is present during placement of Bio-Cube,
raise the high level flow so that the bacteria can attack
the grease shelf from the top, bottom and all sides.
4.
Results should be expected in four to eight weeks from the
time of application. If grease shelves are present at the
time of application, a longer period of time may be required
to obtain results.

HOW LONG WILL EC-220 CUBE LAST
Field experience has
shown that in a pumping station with a flow of 2000 m3/day,
the Bio-Cube should last 30 days. This is not to say however
that in a station with a flow of 200 m3lday that
the Bio-Cube will last 300 days. We have had reports of the
Bio-Cube lasting as long as three weeks. One customer with a
pumping station with a flow of 3000 m3/day
reports that the product lasts, on average, 40 days.
