Plant biostimulants
promote plant growth by stimulating hormonal activity which aids
in regulating plant development and promoting antioxidant
production. Antioxidants are metabolites and enzymes which seek out
free radical molecules and protect plants from damage. Free radical molecules result
from stress, i.e. drought, heat, ultraviolet light and herbicide use.
Free radicals are damaging because they are strong oxidizing agents
which damage lipids, proteins and DNA within plants cells. |
CB-2606
FUNGUS CONTROLS MOLD AND MILDEW ON STRAWBERRIES
Crop Year: 2005
Location: Nagasaki, Japan
Crop: Okubo Strawberries |
CBF-2606 foliar applied at "the recommended rate" to control mold
and mildew.
RESULTS:
a) Mold and Mildew control more than 99 percent.
b) Significant increase in yield.
|
|
CB-2606 applied at
"1/2 the recommended rate".
RESULTS:
a) Mold and Mildew control more than 99 percent.
b) Decrease in yield when compared to recommended rate.
|
|
OBSERVATION:
Dew, on the leaves, indicates an
efficient metabolism. Typically, this translates into
higher yields.
