How plants utilize
nitrogen (N)
For nitrogen to be fully utilized, it must be properly
balanced with P, K or S and macro and micronutrients. If
the soil is deficient in macro or micronutrients, much of
its available nitrogen (N) could become surplus. This
unused nitrogen can leach into the groundwater and find
its way into waterways, wells etc. Before applying a
fertilizer conduct a soil test to determine the soil
nutrient requirements and pH level.
